A fresh, herb-infused mist for the hair and scalp thats cooling, calming, and deeply restorative. This sacred tonic is made from plants that know how to soothe, protect, and open the crown gently.
🌸 Ingredients
- 1 cup rose water
- 1 cup distilled water
- A small handful of fresh basil
- 1 tbsp dried chamomile flowers (or 1 chamomile tea bag)
- 1 tbsp dried lavender buds (or 2 drops lavender essential oil)
- Juice of ½ a lemon (optional — brightens blonde tones 🍋)
- 2 tbsp aloe vera gel
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 2 drops eucalyptus essential oil
- 1 tbsp castor oil (optional — supports scalp circulation + hair growth)
- 1 tsp vitamin E oil or 1 tbsp alcohol-based witch hazel (to extend shelf life)
🌿 Optional Herb Add-ins (Choose 1–2 for added magic)
- 🌱 Nettle leaf – strengthens follicles, supports regrowth
- 🌼 Calendula – soothes scalp irritation and inflammation
- 🌿 Rosemary – stimulates circulation and mental clarity
- 🌸 Hibiscus petals – adds shine, may enhance red tones
- 🍃 Peppermint – invigorates and cools hot or itchy scalps
🫧 To Make
- In a small pot, combine the rose water, distilled water, basil, chamomile, lavender, and any optional dried herbs you’re using.
- Bring to a soft boil, then reduce to a simmer and cover. Let it infuse for about 7 minutes.
- Breathe in the steam. Let it ground you. Let it open you.
- Once cool, strain into a clean bowl.
- Stir in the aloe vera, coconut oil, eucalyptus oil, lemon, and castor oil, if using.
- Add vitamin E or witch hazel to naturally extend freshness.
🧊 Storage
- Store in a glass spray bottle in the refrigerator.
- With vitamin E or witch hazel: lasts 10–14 days.
- Without: use within 7–10 days.
- Always shake gently before use and compost if smell or texture shifts.
🌙 How to Use
Mist onto the scalp at night, after showering, or before meditation. Massage with your fingertips. Comb gently through your hair. Let this be a moment of reconnection with your nervous system and your roots.
